QuantiSal® by Immunalysis

The LUCIO saliva sampling system Quantisal® collects a defined volume of 1 ml saliva, which is indicated by the change of color in the indication field. The transportation container has a special buffer formula that extracts drugs from the pad and preserves them during the transportation to the laboratory.

Defined volume: the sampling volume of the pad (3) is approximatele 1 ml (with an c.v. of less than 10%) Fast: on average the sample volume is taken within 3 min. Ease of use: indicator (2) displays when the correct sample volume has been taken. Improved and optimised transport buffer (6) which has an easy release of THC from the sampling pad. Interfering saliva components which cause degradation of the drug are stabilized.

Procedure

1) Lable container with the patients data.
2) Remove the sampling device (1) from its sealed pouch.
3) Position the pad (3) under the tounge until the indicator changes colour approx 3 min. Ensure that the mouth is cloesd. Do not allow the pad to be moved around or chewed during the sampling procedure.
4) Hold sampler in position until the indicator field changes its color to blue. (2)
5) Remove sampler from mouth and place it in the transportation container (4).
6) Seal the transport container with its lid (5). The transportation buffer will then be released.
7) Mix the buffer in the transport container by slightly shaking for a few seconds.
8) The material is then ready for drug screening and analysis in a the laboratory.
